Leaves Blowing in the Wind

Democrats have been reeling since Donald Trump became President of the United States. They have “Resisted”, moaning and complaining over Trump’s moves in office.

Despite a litany of reasonable greviences and perceptions of the president as unintelligent, a liar, hypocrite, mysoginist, and a bully. His approval rate stands remains about where it started.

How do Democrat leaders see themselves taking back Washington? If they think that voters will just see Trump as they do, in the same negative light, they will be sorely disappointed. Trump’s supporters just don’t see the world the same as Democrat leaders. Their source of truth and information, their news sources, being completely different.

People are left to wonder what do the Democrats stand for when it seems all they do is bemoan the President and his base. That only makes the Democratic base feel as if they are leaves blowing in the wind with nothing to cling to.

Democrats need to resonate with independents by advocating policies that are less extreme and more favorable to the middle class blue collar voters they lost in 2016.

Policies advocating fair opportunities, less taxes on the middle class, rational immigration reform, and better health care with less complexity and overhead would be a start in the right direction.

Fantastic Draft for Phoenix Suns!

The Phoenix Suns pulled off one of the all time great NBA draft nights by getting DeAndre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, Elie Okobo, and George King. What an incredible night for the Suns.

The team sunk to terrible depths last year as they tanked their way to the worst record in the NBA. And hopefully it was worth the pain for hardcode fans who’ve suffered to get these picks.
